There are two ways to improve your level of written expression:
- by answering the written expression questions at the end of the comprehension tests,
- or through the News Feed, where all contributions are corrected and marked (within a maximum of 4 days).
Each contribution is marked on a scale of 5 according to the following criteria:
- the relevance of the answer to the question,
- the grammar used (are the verb tenses correct, for example),
- the lexicon (the choice of vocabulary),
- your ability to develop 'complex' sentences,
- and the number of mistakes.
It is not enough to write a 2-sentence answer, without any mistakes to get the maximum score. The answer should reflect the richness of your vocabulary. The assessor must see that you know how to develop ideas in complex and well-constructed English.
